Hong Kong

I had a wonderful time at Hong Kong. Hong Kong is one of the best place for vacation indeed. For my five days vacation with coursemates in H.K., we went to a number of tourist attractions as listed below:

7 March 2010

女人街|Ladies'Market
We were finding our way to this market right after we check in to Casa Hotel at night. This market is located at Tung Choi Street, selling most of the women bags, accessories and inexpensive women's/men's clothing. However, most of them are pirated goods of famous brand.

黃大仙祠|Wong Tai Sin Temple
Wong Tai Sin Temple is one of the most famous temple in H.K. There was so crowded and a lot of smoke. Eventually, my tears came out due to intense smoke from those burnt joss sticks. Better make a wish quickly and leave this temple asap...XD

赤柱市场|Stanley Market
Perfect place to buy some special souvenir for your friends or relatives. This place is nothing but an old fishing village. Pretty boring...yawn..

中环|Central
our original plan is going up to The Peak by bus. But it was a road accident happening somewhere on the way to the tram station. So what we can do is to walking around Central to enjoy the city view. Of course, the city is more advanced-looking than that in Kuala Lumpur.

蘭桂坊|Lan Kwai Fong
A well-known street with bars, clubs and restaurants. Very suitable place for people to enjoy their nightlife.

庙街|Temple Street Night Market
It’s another market almost similar to Ladies market. Nothing much I can say.

9 March 2010

天坛大佛|Giant Buddha
It’s a big big carved stone Buddha which nearby Lantau Peak. We have to ride on cable car in order to get there. It was extremely cold there (5 ~ 6 C) I supposed, and my finger can barely move.

东荟城名店仓|Citygate Outlets
This is a mall featured with many brand names that offering up to 70% year-round discount, which is ideal place for shopping.

星光大道|Avenue of Stars
Something similar to Hollywood Walk of Fame. There were plenty of plaques on the floor which contain hand prints and autographs of the stars set in cement. This avenue is also a popular viewing place for A Symphony of Light show.

波鞋街|Fa Yuen Street
My favourite street definitely! This street have quite a lot of shops selling sport items at affordable price, mostly branded sports shoes including nike, addidas, converse, puma, k-swiss, lacoste…u name it!

10 March 2010

迪士尼乐园|Disneyland
What a Magical experience I had in Disneyland! You simply have to visit Disneyland by urself, there is plenty of adventure and excitement awaiting you. Don’t miss the Disney In the Stars at night, it is a breathtaking fireworks display that surely impress you.

11 March 2010

海洋公园|Ocean Park
Not recommend for senior citizen because you have to walk or hike from once place to another. This park is a so-so for me. Quite dizzy and boring while visiting this park.

杜莎夫人蜡像馆|Madame Tussauds’ Wax Museum
My comment is a lot of celebrity ready for you to ‘molest’….LOL

凌霄阁摩天台|Sky Terrace
The dazing HK city night view amazed me and reminded me of how far our very own Kuala Lumpur left behind.
